Swingers Cruise

So...  we'll admit it. We have had some issues with credit card debt. Mainly built up while I was in grad school a few years back. But we're back on track and we've been making really good progress paying everything off. A few months ago I figured out that we would pay off our credit card sometime early in 2017 based on the pace we were going. I told Maria that I thought it would be really nice to plan something fun to celebrate. Something that we could actually pay for in cash pretty much as well because our credit card would be paid off.

My first idea was go to go back to New Orleans again. We LOVED it the last time we went a few years ago. I would have been happy to stay at the exact hotel we stayed at and go to Colette's again. It was the best swinger club we had ever been to. Then, to my surprise, Maria said, "why don't we look at the swinger cruises. I've heard those are really fun." We checked it out and there was one in March. Perfect. It also looked nice to us because it was a little shorter. Just a five day cruise instead of the normal seven day. It was a little cheaper because of that as well. We thought it would a great way to get our feet wet and see if we liked it.

We read more about it. We spent hours looking at all of the cabin choices and options. We read message boards with people talking about past cruises. It sounded like a lot of fun! There were theme rooms. There was a pool where you could do nude swimming with play rooms connected. There was a big orgy room on the top deck that was open. People said it was amazing to go to the top deck and play under the stars. Wow... it sounded fantastic.

We also checked out the payment plans and there were three payments. We realized that we had enough money in savings to pay for the first two payments in cash. Then we could save up for the final payment which was due in September. Our heads were spinning with excitement about actually being able to do this. We decided before we committed to anything that we would go to sleep and sleep on it. I didn't sleep a wink that night I think. My brain couldn't stop thinking about having an orgy under the stars on the top deck. When we woke up in the morning Maria admitted that she couldn't sleep all night either.

We also talked about it more and agreed that we totally wanted to do it. We were both really excited about the idea. So we looked at it a little more. We figured out exactly where we wanted to get a cabin on the boat. We went ahead and clicked on the buttons, put in our debit card number, and paid the downpayment. So we're doing it!!!  Maria and I will be joining 1000+ other swingers on the Bliss Cruise next March. We're SO looking forward to this!

I'm planning on keeping a travel diary while we're on the cruise and write updates about every day. Those should be some interesting blog posts!
